Furzeleigh Mill

Furzeleigh Mill is a 16th century country house that has just entered a new chapter in its life having now come under new ownership by Geoff and Tessa. There are grand plans for the hotel, restaurant & bar and work has already begun.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Geoff and Tessa, to hear their vision and collaborate with them to design a new visual identity.

The word Furze is another term for gorse which is a common shrub found on Dartmoor and the surrounding area. So, the gorse flower became the inspiration for the logomark. Leigh means clearing or open ground and came from the Old English “lēah” which is a clearing in a forest.

We’re really looking forward to seeing the project unfold.
