Lomas Furniture is a creative woodshop situated deep in the Devon countryside and is run by Rodney Lomas. Rodney is also a train tree surgeon and has a deep knowledge about his craft.
In his work Rodney strives to work with the tree, to tune in and allow it to guide him, to essentially unlock the furniture or piece grown within the very tree itself. This way of working means he uses parts of the tree often discarded by others which results in very little waste.
Whey they came to Studio in the Sticks wanting to collaborate we were super excited. We love Rodney’s work and his ethos behind it.
As you’ve seen above inspiration for the logo came from the style of datum mark Rodney uses to mark the facing edge on the wood he’s using. This was perfect because he wanted a high-end feeling brand that also felt relaxed.
They are now super happy and rocking it with confidence at all sorts of shows. Here’s some of their words:
Studio in the sticks struck the perfect balance between creativity and professionalism. They kept the project focused and moving forward, whilst supporting a natural evolution of ideas. The execution of the final product was highly professional and beautifully presented. We were very pleased with the logo, branding and website and would recommend them to any business who wants their branding to truly reflect the work they do.
